How it works
Enter your current age, planned retirement age, current savings, monthly contributions, expected return, and desired retirement income. The calculator grows savings until retirement and applies a simple 4% withdrawal estimate.
Formula
Projected savings use monthly compounding until retirement. Estimated income = projected savings × withdrawal rate (default 4%). Target nest egg = desired income ÷ withdrawal rate.
Example
A 35-year-old with $40,000 saved, contributing $600 monthly at 6% until age 65, projects about $590,000 — roughly $23,600 a year at a 4% withdrawal rate.
