Formula
X% of Y = (X ÷ 100) × Y. X is what percent of Y = (X ÷ Y) × 100. Change = ((new − old) ÷ |old|) × 100. Difference = |A − B| ÷ ((|A| + |B|) ÷ 2) × 100.
Example
15% of 80 is 12. If a price moves from 50 to 65, that is a 30% increase. The percentage difference between 80 and 100 is 22.22%.
